CHALET DESCRIPTION

The Valle Vista - Ski Taos Chalet is located on Phoenix Switchback Road immediately across from the main lifts of Taos Ski Valley. Elevation is approximately 9560 feet, and distance from the base of the ski area is less than 1 mile. Access is on good, plowed roads by preferably 4WD automobile or a competently driven front wheel drive.

The Chalet is over 2,000 sq. ft. which includes an attached 500 sq. ft.. apartment that will be closed off entirely for it's privacy, and is occupied by the caretakers. The main cabin has vaulted 19 foot ceilings in the living area with expansive glass windows and doors. The chalet is constructed of cedar wood on the exterior and knotty pine in the interior. A large wood burning stove in the main cabin provides radiating warmth no matter how cold it is outside. 

The main cabin sleeps 8: two adult couples in private bedrooms (closing doors), two children in bunks ( 6 foot length and louvered doors), one adult couple in loft overlooking the living area. Bathrooms are one full on the first floor and a three-quarter bath upstairs for the loft and master bedroom. The kitchen is fully complemented with electric appliances that include a micro wave, dishwasher, trash compactor, toaster oven, coffee pot, and standard stove.

The main cabin living area includes a full entertainment center with VCR/DVD player/recorder, CD player, cassette tape player, 27 inch TV, with surround sound. A collection of movies, CD's and tapes are available. The upstairs master bedroom has a small TV with an internal VCR player/recorder. The desk in the loft includes a modem hookup for a computer.

Large decks surround the main cabin and the apartment; and are accessed from both living areas.

The apartment, located downstairs of the main cabin is privately accessed from the outside and is used as the caretaker residence.
